ADB Plans $14 Billion to Ease Food Crisis, Promote Long-Term Food Security in Asia and the Pacific

ADB announced plans to provide at least $14 billion over 2022–2025 in a comprehensive program of support to ease a worsening food crisis in Asia and the Pacific, and improve long-term food security. 

NARO's Role

NARO acts as a liaison between ADB’s Headquarters in Manila and policymakers and major stakeholders in the United States and Canada. Based in Washington, DC, NARO works to:

  • Raise public awareness in the United States and Canada about ADB and the Asia-Pacific region.
  • Mobilize resources and support from the public and private sectors in North America for ADB operations.
  • Share development knowledge and experience and strengthen collaboration with other multilateral institutions based in North America.
