Singapore is a founding member of ADB. It has provided $505.53 million in capital subscription to ADB. It has also contributed and committed $32.18 million to Special Funds since becoming a member.
ADB President Masatsugu Asakawa and Singapore Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Heng Swee Keat officially opened ADB’s new office in Singapore.
ADB is targeting private sector operations to comprise one-third of total operations in number by 2024. To achieve this, private sector projects will include smaller, riskier projects that are innovative, complex, and in challenging markets and sectors.
