Laura Schwartz

Laura Schwartz serves as Senior External Relations Officer for the North American Representative Office (NARO) of the Asian Development Bank (ADB).

In this role, Laura supports NARO’s efforts to mobilize financing and support for ADB’s work across the Asia-Pacific region by raising public awareness of ADB and deepening partnerships with public, private, and nonprofit organizations in the United States and Canada.

Laura came to ADB in December 2020 after 8 years of experience working in Washington, DC, at the intersection of international affairs and business. She previously worked in international consulting at firms including International Technology and Trade Associates, Inc., Albright Stonebridge Group, and Crumpton Group.  

Prior to her consulting work, Laura worked as Project Manager for Trade, Economic, and Energy Affairs at the National Bureau of Asian Research. Her areas of expertise include US domestic and international climate policies, energy and environmental security in the Asia-Pacific, global energy markets, and US policymaking processes. 

Laura holds a Master of Science in Foreign Service (MSFS) from Georgetown University, with a concentration in Global Business and Finance. She also holds a BA in Government and East Asian Studies from Cornell University.
