    Promoting Energy Efficiency in the Pacific

    ADB undertook capacity support and implemented pilot projects to promote energy efficiency in the Pacific region under two technical assistance (TA) grants. This technical assistance performance evaluation report evaluates these TA projects, which were provided to Cook Islands, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Tonga, and Vanuatu.     This real-time evaluation assessed the performance of the technical assistance (TA) support provided by the Asian Development Bank to the Core Environment Program and Biodiversity Conservation Corridors Initiative in the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS). The evaluation focused on the first two phases (Phase 1 completed in 2012, and Phase 2 in 2018) of the program and includes the six countries of the GMS: Cambodia, the Lao People's Democratic Republic, Myanmar, Thailand, Viet Nam, and parts of the People's Republic of China.

    This report assesses the performance of seven regional technical assistance (TA) grants executed by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) for the Asian Bond Market Initiative (ABMI), funded primarily by the People’s Republic of China (PRC), Japan, and the Republic of Korea. The ABMI was launched in December 2002 by finance ministers from the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), the PRC, Japan, and the Republic of Korea—collectively referred to as the “ASEAN+3” countries.
