This Finance Sector Directional Guide (FSDG) provides the strategic direction of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) for the finance sector.
This sector guide describes the context and rationale that will guide ADB’s agenda in supporting developing member countries with financing, knowledge, convening ability, and technical assistance to ensure improved coherence, relevance, efficiency, and effectiveness of ADB’s finance sector investments. It reflects achievements under ADB’s Financial Sector Operational Plan, 2011–2022, which serves as a starting point for enhanced targets through 2030. The FSDG will ensure that finance sector operations and contributions will support the seven operational priorities of Strategy 2030.
This sector guide is designed to be a living document, to be updated as needed to remain relevant to the dynamic development context of Asia and the Pacific.
