Mio Oka
Director, Environment, Natural Resources & Agriculture Division
South Asia Department
As Director of the Environment, Natural Resources and Agriculture Division, South Asia Department, Ms. Mio Oka manages the processing and administration of water and agriculture projects covering flood and coastal management, water use efficiency, rural connectivity, agriculture value chain improvement in Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, and Sri Lanka. She also supervises the research, planning, design and implementation of agriculture and rural development projects building on her 20 years of experience in this area.
Ms. Oka has master’s degree in social policy and planning in developing countries and a bachelor’s degree in development studies and politics from the University of London, UK.
