Nepal: Strengthening Public Financial Management and Devolved Service Delivery Program (Subprogram 1)

The program adopts a programmatic approach to properly sequence reforms and ensure the needed flexibility while implementing multi-year, multi-component policy reforms at national and subnational government (SNG) levels. It covers two reform areas: (i) expenditure management at the federal level and (ii) resource planning and management in SNGs._Subprogram 1 prioritizes medium-term reforms to create institutional and policy frameworks and operational strategies. Subprogram 2 prioritizes follow-on reforms to implement the frameworks and strategies to promote a sustained and resilient economic recovery over the medium term.
