Nepal: Second Kathmandu Valley Water Supply Improvement Project

In the latest Country Operations Business Plan, it was agreed to split the original proposed scope into two projects as follows:

(i)Melamchi Water Supply Project Phase 2 (MWSP-2) (approval in 2025)

(ii)Second Kathmandu Valley Water Supply Improvement Project (approval in 2023)

These projects will build on ongoing efforts of the Government of Nepal and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) to further improve water supply availability, services and planning in the Kathmandu Valley (the Valley).
