Letter of Intent between Asian Development Bank and International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies

This document gives a summary of the discussions held between the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) regarding their desire to develop further their cooperative efforts based on the principle of country and regional ownership of sound development policies, as well as necessary conditions for sustainable development efforts and protection of the vulnerable.

ADB and IFRC shall collaborate on the areas of disaster preparedness and disaster response, health care, basic public services in post-conflict and post-natural disaster situations, and evaluation of projects/programs involving joint collaboration.
