Takeo Koike joined ADB in July 2002 and now has more than 25 years’ experience in private sector infrastructure finance and public-private partnerships across Asia. He currently leads and manages transaction advisory services in South Asia, Central Asia and South Caucasus, Indonesia, and Myanmar.

Mr. Koike spent more than 12 years in ADB’s Private Sector Operations Department covering South Asia, Central Asia, and South Caucasus. He successfully structured and executed complex limited recourse project financing for power generation projects in India, Pakistan, and Georgia. He also raised corporate financing for power companies in India, Kazakhstan, and Armenia.

Prior to joining ADB, Takeo worked for the former Export-Import Bank of Japan as an Economist and Loan Officer with a focus on private sector power projects. He also worked for Japan’s Ministry of Finance, on private sector participation in infrastructure in developing countries. He holds an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania; an MSc in Economics from the London School of Economics; and a bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Tokyo.
