How can my company consult for ADB?

Information for institutions

ADB engages individual consultants and consulting entities (firms, universities, NGOs, etc.) for a wide range of assignments. Firms wishing to consult for ADB and ADB-financed projects must meet all of the following criteria:

  • Be legal entities with the capacity to enter into binding and enforceable contracts with ADB
  • Be incorporated, registered, or legally established in an ADB member country (firms from non-ADB countries may be engaged only if a project allows it)
  • Have a bank account for financial transactions
  • Not be barred from working with ADB, World Bank, or ADB’s member countries

Additional criteria for government-owned institutions

Government-owned enterprises or institutions in the borrower's country may participate only if they can establish that they meet all of the following criteria:

  • Legally and financially autonomous
  • Operate under commercial law
  • Not dependent agencies of the borrower or sub-borrower

In some cases, government-owned universities or research centers can be hired.
