Accelerating Gender Equality in the Finance Sector

To boost women’s financial inclusion, the tip sheet identifies five key entry points. These are (i) tailoring financial products and services to meet women’s needs, (ii) adapting how and where services are provided, (iii) increasing women-friendly alternatives to secure financing, (iv) improving risk perceptions of women as consumers of financial services, and (v) promoting gender-inclusive financial technologies. The tip sheet also identifies opportunities to improve gender equality in financial sector workplaces and staffing as supporting measures to build institutions that are gender responsive to their women employees and customers.
