This report provides the Climate Change Fund's activities in 2021 and progress as of 31 December 2021, in terms of the financial status and operational results, highlights the key issues and lessons, and discusses future directions.

The Climate Change Fund (CCF) was established to facilitate greater investments in ADB's developing member countries to effectively address the causes and consequences of climate change alongside ADB's own assistance in various related sectors. As of 31 December 2021, CCF resources have reached a total of $100.9 million, consisting of $98.0 million in total contributions from ADB’s net income and $2.9 million in interest or investment income. Of these resources, $98.6 million were distributed to $46.0 million (46.7%) for adaptation, $43.1 million (43.7%) for clean energy, $9.3 million (9.4%) for REDD+ and improved land use, and $0.3 million (0.3%) for climate finance readiness.
